The great durability of Rolex is recognized by many watch lovers, however, it can be damaged if it is used improperly. Today I will introduce some knowledge of maintenance by a classic copy Rolex Datejust which had been worn for already 8 years. It was entered the water last year but it hadn’t been taken for repair. Recently, the winder was broken when winding.
When the watch is opened, it is found that the inner movement of the case on the inside of the solid screw has rust due to water inflow. The automatic splint screw loosely jams the oscillating weight, causing the splint to scrape, and the copper swarf is covered with the whole movement. Then take out the movement and remove the hands and dial. When the self-winding structure of this Rolex fake watch with white dial was disassembled, we found that the automatic wheel was damaged.
Now we start cleaning the movement parts with automatic washing machine and special cleaning agent, which is better than ordinary hand-washing splint, and avoid the risk of hand-washing splint scratches. When all the components of this self-winding mechanical movement imitation watch have been assembled, we begin to test the data, demagnetization and detect again. At last, we finish the maintenance and it has been given a new life.
